This is a blog about living. Also it is a blog about using a bicycle as a main transportation vehicle. Through here I'm documenting the everyday experiences of an ordinary bicycle user, myself.
It was September 28, 2012. This was the day that I've decided to purchase a bicycle. In my whole life I was always fond of bicycles, but never really thought of buying and using one in real life.
March 15, 2013. This was the day of finally purchasing my one and only adult size bicycle. Through this whole time I was searching, reading, watching and asking about bicycles. It was kind of an obsession. But the more I read the more confused I began to be.
The majority of sources for cycling information are about cycling as a sport, not transport. That is why I have decided to start this blog, for those who want to incorporate cycling into their everyday lives and those who just started doing it.
About Me
As I've stated above, I started cycling for transportation in March 2013 and I have been riding every day ever since, without any gadgets or special equipment, wearing only my regular clothing.
Doing this also affect - in a positive way - my health and my general mood. I was always healthy but cycling surely improved my heart function and increased my stamina.
What else.. I'm a Greek, I've studied Optical & Optometry at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and currently living in Volos, Thessaly.
General Blog Information
Posts will be published weekly and cover a great range from bicycle infrastructure and some important technical stuff to just talking about life through the eyes of a bicycle user. Because Living And Bicycles is ultimately about just living and the romantic feeling of bicycles.
